Can anyone tell me something else besides egg whites and protien shakes that I can eat for breakfast? Thanks icon smile I am trying a low carb high protein diet, but I hate egg whites >>>?

How about ham, canadian bacon, or turkey bacon.

Would whey protien shakes help me achieve my weight loss goals?

I’m 28 years old, 4’11" & around 140 lbs. I’d like to lose 20 lbs. I work out 4-5 times a week (a mixture of both cardio & medium intensity strength training) & I try to watch what goes into my body.

I’ve dabbled in whey protein before, but always lost interest pretty quickly so I never really stuck with it. Would consistantly using whey protein (one or two shakes a day) help with my weight loss goals? Also, are most brands pretty much the same?

whey protein is not optimum for weight loss, it is best used for pre/post workout as it is metabolized very rapidly and provides more of an anabolic effect. for fat loss blended proteins are optimum. blended proteins contain casein, milk proteins and/or egg white proteins. the matrix of amino acids provide a longer more sustained release of amino acids into the bloodstream. this has a anti-catabolic effect on skeletal muscle. basically when on a reduced calorie diet blended proteins will help to preserve more muscle mass while the stored fats are being utilized for energy.

check out some of the low carb MRP’s from MyoPlex, MetRx and others.

LA Weight loss

I did it and got great results at first, then it slowed down. I DID get to goal but the program seemed to stop for me, when I try to go back on it, I actually have gained:( I am a rare case though, I know a LOT of successful losers and no, forget the bars…the Luna bars or Kashi Go Lean Crunch bars are comprable…better yet, tell them you have a soy intolerance and get an all food program.

i need to know a few top brands of meal replacement drinks?

i went to gnc and bought a soy protein powder gnc brand. its called soy protein 95. im a male 15 years old and i was wondering if this will help me lose fat and build muscle. will i build lean muscle with this drink? dont want to be a body builder or anything

If so when should i take this drink it says it is recomended to take twice a day.
i know you should take it after working out but when do you take the other one or is it only necesarry to take one.
oh yeah it has 25 grams of protein and 5 grams of carbs.

thank you

If you use protein drink when you work out with weights then it will help to make muscle and muscle helps burn fat, but if your just drinking it and not exercising then the extra protein will be stored as fat that you do not burn off.
