any ideas on making a simple homemade, low carb, high protein shake to help with getting fit again?

For Shakes, the best way (cheapest) is to get a massive container of whey protein that you can blend with milk and banana (or berries, or instant coffee, etc).

Otherwise, compute the correct amounts of protein you should be consuming via eating (eggs, lean meat, tunafish, etc). Probably best to consume protein within 15 minutes of completing heavy workout.

Will drinking 3 weight loss shakes a day and exercising daily help me lose weight?

it’s all about the calories…burn more than you consume and you will lose weight.

One thing that works for me is: before I eat, I drink a large glass of water, then if I’m still hungry, I won’t eat as much as I would have.

It’s better to eat 5-6 small meals than 2 or 3 regular meals each day.

also, fyi:

1 pound = 3500 calories.

If you burn more calories than you eat, you will lose weight.

ie, if you eat 2000 calories per day and burn 2500, you will lose 1 pound every week.

the average person burns 1000-1500 calories per day, just being alive.

power walking can burn 200-500 calories per hour.
exercise bike can burn 200-600 calories per hour.
swimming can burn 100-800 calories per hour.
jogging/running can burn 300-1200 calories per hour.

Also, try not to eat within 3-4 hours of going to sleep.

when trying to lose weight, very important to drink lots and lots of water ! ! !
You should drink at least 10 glasses per day, like 1 glass every hour !

This helps your body get rid of the fat when you are burning calories.

Way too sugary. You risk spiking your insulin and blood sugar levels resulting in a crash, which leaves you craving more food/energy/sugar. This also tells your body to store fat and use muscle as a source of energy (with respect to certain circumstances).

EAT SOMETHING WITH FIBER IN IT, OR EAT THE POPTARTS/GRANOLA WITH A BUTTLOAD OF GLUCOMANNAN (SOLUBLE FIBER) OR POLYGLYCOPLEX (A HELL OF A STRONG SOLUBLE FIBER, WHICH WILL KEEP YOU FULL FOR HOURS ON END – DRINK LOTS OF WATER)

I never have time to make breakfast in the morning before I head of to work so I slam a shot of liquid vitamins and head out. When I get to work I have a yogurt and usually munch on some other snacks, but would really love to take a tastey meal replacement drink with my in the car in the morning. I do not need to lose weight I just need a liquid breakfast. Can you suggest anything that would work, that I can get at the grocery store?

Ultra Slim Fast or Slim Fast. -Tastes really good too!!

Soy protein shake advice?

Please need advice on soy protein, I buy low fat soy silk milk, and I have soy protein shake mix. Can I mix them for a meal with some strawberries & half a banana?? Would this work better for weightloss or am I better off drinking slim fast meal on the go?

I just want comments on the soy protein shake. I know what I have to eat yata yata.

Sounds healthy to me. Fresh fruit has got to be better for you than slim fast.
