DAILY MEAL PLAN:
2 PUREED FOOD MEALS
2 (8oz each) High Protein Meal Replacement shakes
2 (8oz each) Protein snack drinks
64oz fluids
VITAMINS and MINERALS REGIME:
2 Multivitamins daily
iron (36mgs daily)
1 B-Complex daily
Calcium Citrate (1500-2000mg) daily
flax/Fish oil (2-4gms) daily
ALLOWED FOODS:
Protein Meal Replacement (shakes)
Protein Snack Drinks
PUREED FOODS:
1/4 cup-1/2 cup small curd, low fat cottage cheese
1/4 cup-1/2 cup sugar free pudding made w/skim milk
1 small jar baby food-meat or vegetable
1/4 cup-1/2 cup vegetable beef soup (pureed in blender), clam chowder. etc
1/4 cup mashed banana, unsweet applesauce
1/4 cup-1/2 cup pureed vegetables (carrots, squash, cauliflower, etc)
NOTE: any clear liquids or full liquids can be used
REMEMBER:
Meal Replacements are still your main source of PROTEIN and SHOULD be used at EVERY MEAL.
Mix UNFLAVORED PROTEIN POWDER in foods and liquids.
Puree foods while hot, add spices as tolerated
Freeze excess pureed foods in serving size baggies for later.
Blend soup until its the consistency of applesauce
strain any foods youve pureed to remove any chunks that would have to be chewed.
