What is the best protein for my protein supplement?

I want to buy a protein supplement, but can’t figure out for the life of me which one should I go with. Whey, casein, egg whites, hemp, rice, soy. Did I miss anything. I just want a kick in the right direction. I know this question has been asked a lot but I really want to gain some muscle mass and I didn’t like the answers I found.

Calorie for calorie romaine lettuce has more protein than steak.

Good vegetarian sources are your dark green leafy veggies like romaine, spinach and kale to name a few. Beans are good and some raw nuts.

Animal protein has been linked to cancer especially dairy.

I would have to say that the best protein for bulding lean muscle mass and getting ripped comes from egg whites. Egg whites have nothing but protein in them, are very easy to digest and have a great amino acid score. They are also natural and cheap. You want to get some cereal fed and if possible farm raised egg whites for this. Oh, one thing I forgot to mention is that egg whites are very well tolerated, unlike whey. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lax2-crdKHk
